After receiving any type of dental care, these general guidelines should be followed:

For at least 24 hours following your dental procedure, do not chew on hard, sticky, or chewy foods.

Never chew on ice.

Avoid aggressive chewing of any food, as well as eating or chewing sticky foods such as “hard tack” candies that can loosen or damage a restoration. Our clients have admitted that the hardest post-op instruction is controlling their chewing, so remember to bring this up at your visit. We’ll walk you through it!

Carefully follow all guidelines provided by Dr. Graves and our staff.

Most importantly, practice good oral hygiene daily.
