Dr. Christine Fitzgerald

Dr. Christine Halliday Fitzgerald graduated with the highest honors of Summa cum Laude from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.  She finished second highest in her class and successfully completed all board examinations.  Upon graduation she was inducted into the most prestigious dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.  While in Louisville, Kentucky, she was honored for her achievements with the Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship for leadership involvement as well as academics.  She held many positions of leadership including class president and secretary as well as the legislative liaison for the student government.  She also sat on the board of the Kentucky Dental Association, participated on the admissions board for the University of Louisville Dental School, and resided on the student leadership committee, curriculum committee, and the graduation committee.  She was recognized by the University for her excellence in endodontic root canal procedures as well as for her knowledge in microbiology, biochemistry, and anatomy.  Dr. Fitzgerald is a proponent of organized dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, and the Louisville Dental Society.

Upon graduation, she practiced General Dentistry in Germantown, Tennessee just outside of Memphis for 3 years.  Her husbands career brought her back to her ‘Ole Kentucky Home’ and she is happy to be serving as a general and family dentist here at Pearl Dental.  Dr. Fitzgerald is committed to being a lifelong learner and has completed advanced training and attended numerous seminars regarding the newest materials and updates in dentistry including lectures at the Wakeforest Dental Mountain Meeting as well as extensive training with Cerec same day crown design and fabrication and Straumann dental implant placement and restoration.

Dr. Fitzgerald is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee.  She met her husband, Ryan Fitzgerald, during her undergraduate education at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and they now have two beautiful daughters.  When she is not working or caring for her little angels, some of the activities she enjoys include throwing pottery in her home studio, play tennis competitively, caring for her farm animals, cooking, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.  She and her husband currently attend Southeast Christian Church and currently serve in church leadership.  She has a passion for serving others through the gift of dentistry and has spent time in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and in Pikeville, Kentucky doing dental work as well as most recently serving in dental missions in Santiago, Dominican Republic.  Dr. Fitzgerald has a love for her career and has made it her mission to better every patient’s life by learning their story, forming a relationship, and taking care of their oral health needs so in turn the rest of their physical health is improved.
